About Us

In 1982, my dad, Dave, moved our family from Iowa to Phoenix, quickly realizing the constant demand for air conditioning in a rapidly growing city. He founded Reliance Heating and Air Conditioning in 1984, driven by the belief that people want to feel valued and prefer an honest company with fair prices. Dad always treated his customers the way he would want to be treated, instilling those same values in me. From the age of 10, I was my dad’s “right-hand man,” often helping him late into the evening with tasks like changing compressors or fan motors. Many of our current customers have been with us since 1984.

In 2002, my wife and I took over Reliance Heating and Air Conditioning, continuing to serve some of our original customers and their families. We recently expanded by purchasing Prescott Heating & Cooling, and we're excited to now serve the Prescott, Prescott Valley, Dewey-Humboldt, and Chino Valley areas.
